How it got started (Andrew)

I started 3D printing and CADing around 3-4 years ago. I didn't receive much help from anyone because it was during quarantine, and it was incredibly hard to learn how to 3D print by myself. There were resources online, but they simply were not comprehensive enough or overly technical. I found myself constantly going on the r/3Dprinting forums and discord to find help, but rarely got any responses.

Eventually, with enough trial and error, I taught myself every single aspect of 3D printing and design, but I wish I had a mentor or something to help guide me on this journey. Afterwards, I began replying and calling strangers on the 3D printing forums who needed help for hours. I soon realized that most of my replies were relatively the same repairs, suggestions, etc, only for the original poster to run into more issues.

Yet, I felt that simply providing quick fixes and suggestions could only help them for a day. If I could teach these people how to repair and troubleshoot themselves themselves, they could become self-sufficient for a lifetime. I founded this organization to help people just like me when I was a beginner. This platform would be the "one stop shop" that would give them the skills to not just become users, but mechanics, engineers, and designers for all things 3D printing and design.
